The Quik Internet franchise model was designed to allow non-technical
people to become Internet service providers, delivering Internet
services at a local level with personalized customer attention.
If you can talk comfortably with people and have a working knowledge
of Microsoft Windows, you already have what it takes to attend our
training and to successfully run a Quik Internet franchise.
Key components of our model were developed to work together to
make our model a plug and play operation. First and foremost, Quik
developed proprietary software called "Cheetah". Cheetah
interfaces with the Quik network to completely automate administration,
such as setting up customer accounts. A franchisee can sign up a
new customer and enroll them into the customer billing with just
a few simple steps.
The Quik Internet network is engineered to provide optimal online
service and technology, with a system of IBM Web servers. The line
of RS/6000 IBM Web servers became the choice for Quik since these
servers are tested by industry experts as the world's fastest servers.
In fact, the RS/6000 earned a world record for recording 963,948
hits per minute as the official Web server of the 2000 Champion
Wimbledon games. Through the franchise model of pooled resources,
Quik can boast the fact that it's one of the few Internet providers
and hosting companies to operate with these high-end servers. Typically,
companies operating with RS/6000 servers are large organizations
such as banking institutions.
What does this mean to Quik franchisees?
They benefit from the high-quality Internet products they sell and
competitive advantage they have through the IBM servers. What does
this mean to our franchisees' customers?
Their Web sites will be hosted on a highly secure, robust and scalable
Web server that will allow site visitors to breeze through Web pages
and give their site credibility from consistently being up and live
on the Web.
