 Quik
Internet is a worldwide network of
Internet Service Providers (ISPs) with more staffed offices
than any other provider in the world. Over 170 Quik Internet
offices are open in 19 countries offering specialized customer
service. Quik Internet representatives offer to visit
customers’ homes or offices to assist in the installation
                  and ensure they become connected.
                   Through its unique business
model of placing ISPs within the cities it serves, Quik
Internet offers Internet access, e-commerce solutions, Web
site design and hosting, Internet classes and reseller
programs. An additional benefit of Quik's
local representation is the offer of free Internet training
classes. Quik Internet offices provide these classes for
customers and non-customers alike to share information about
the Internet. The basics of the Internet are introduced for
those new to the online world and a user-group forum is
provided for Internet gurus. Quik powers its network with
IBM RS/6000* robust, scaleable servers to provide a high level
of power and reliability to its service. The RS/6000 holds a
world record for 430,000 hits per minute as the official Web
server of the 1999 Champion Wimbledon games. Quik
                  International, parent company to Quik
Internet, gives entrepreneurs the opportunity to capitalize on
                  the Internet—the biggest revolution in 250 years—by
franchising ISPs in local communities around the world under
the name Quik Internet. Founded in 1996, Quik
International grew from 27 franchises at year-end 1997 to 95
at the close of 1998 and was listed among Entrepreneur
                  magazine's 1999 Franchise 500. Quik established over 60
additional franchises in 1999 and closed out the year with 160
total franchises. This growth catapulted the company's ranking
on Entrepreneur magazine's Franchise 500, rising 142 positions
in the 2000 listing. For franchise information click

launched its Master Franchise program granting territories in
Canada and countries abroad to establish Quik Internet offices
within that country. Master licensees have been placed in
Australia, Canada, Ecuador, Mexico, New Zealand, Portugal, the
                  U.K., and Venezuela.   |
